Blessed are the needy, the destitute, those abounding in despair.
Joyously, our broken desolation is not beyond your repair.
Jesus is preparing a place for us, improving our circumstance,
Lavishing us with grace, from impoverished to inheritance.
Blessed are those whose idyllic lives are caving in and short circuiting.
For all deep grief, crippling shame, and shattered dreams are met with comforting.
God, joy is found once again in the hope of your perfect promise.
Guaranteed redemption that turns our deep sorrow into solace.
Blessed are those who meekly yield to King Jesus in humility.
Accepting His gift, knowing man’s righteousness is futility.
In you, dead to ourselves, we abide forever, living and thriving.
Submitting ourselves to your sacrifice replaces all our striving.
Blessed are those who fill themselves with you, Satiated and flourishing.
Only the righteousness of our Holy God is wholly nourishing.
Lord God, we taste the sweetness of your goodness and are justified.
At your prepared table, we go from insatiable to satisfied.
Blessed are those who bestow forgiveness, and extend ceaseless compassion.
Growing in the likeness of your steadfast love and merciful fashion.
As we dwell in your endless mercies which are new every morning,
The weight of consequence lifted, we mount on wings of eagles soaring.
Blessed is the godly man who delights in God and seeks His purity.
For they shall know God and look upon his face for all eternity.
He offers peace, and we change from the enemy who God shatters,
and become His child, an heir into the family he gathers.
Blessed are those who are reviled for God and experience suffering.
All who endure whispering, pestering, plundering, and murdering.
The honor of suffering just like our savior is our offering.
The persecution you endured on our behalf Is our covering.
Our future goes from lifeless and empty to fruitful and abounding.
Forever in the presence of God and His glory astounding.
Our lot secured in Him goes from persecuted to prosperity.
The forces of this world may take our life but not our eternity.
