I’m Angela Guy—writer, poet, author, and founder. I am so glad you are here.

Our ministry explores what a truly abundant life in Jesus Christ looks like. As a busy mother of four, I know what it means to need daily sips of Living Water just to keep going. Amid demanding seasons, I write to encourage you to pause, look toward Jesus—the author and perfector of our faith—and rest in the truth that He is with us and leads us every step of the way.

"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." — 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

When my desire for control takes control,

I'm robbed of my joy and sad in my soul.

The desire for power is how I am bent.

I am livid, God! Thoroughly discontent!

I get so caught up in wanting my way;

Discontentment rules and ingratitude stays.

Remind me again, God, Your ways are not mine.

Your path is perfect and Your plan is divine.

Show me Your ways, God. Teach me to relent.

Show me Your peace, God. Teach me to repent.

Although condemned, Jesus, You pardoned,

When You laid it all down in that garden.

Although betrayed, Jesus, You accepted,

And by Your justice, You protected.

Although mocked, You willingly forgave;

You bore the cross in order to save.

Although King of kings, You humbly served,

And took the punishment that I deserved.

Although almighty, Jesus, You yielded,

And mercy was the weapon that You wielded.

Although abandoned, Jesus, You pursue;

You call us by name and You make us new.

Although perfect, Jesus, You were marred,

And entered heaven with numerous scars.

Although rejected, Jesus, You approve;

Guiding us forward, You gently reprove.

Although accused, Jesus, You defend;

You intercede for us to the end.

Now gone is my anger and my attitude;

My heart is changed to awe and gratitude.

Our desire at Abundant Life Ministry is that our content will inspire curiosity

about our Creator and encourage you to commune with Him.
